Beritabali.com, Gianyar. Wayan Roki, ceramic artist from Sukawati made balinese ceramic handicraft painting that selled not only in Indonesia but also break through in United States market, pricesely New York City.
Roki claimed to have handled this painting ceramic from 1987 when He met an Australian citizen.

"From this Australian citizen I got the way to make a ceramic painting and then I developed. Then, many people love my ceramic painting, even sent to Jakarta and abroad. But the painting business sluggish after the Bali Bombing," He said.
Roki painting ceramics made on glass media, plates, and various other forms of ceramic media. The theme of his paintings are more traditional Balinese paintings such as Barong, Legong, Traditional Batuan, and various other painting themes depending on the order.
"If the painting is traditional Balinese style, the price can be millions of rupiah, but if the motive of flowers or simple, the price ranges from tens thousands to hundreds thousands of dollars," he said.
Wayan Roki claims his handmade ceramic craft has good quality, because it uses paint from Australia and through the process of oven.
